Adobe Reader (as of this writing, the current version is 8.1.2) is free software used to show electronic documents on your screen as they might appear when printed. The intent of this document is to illustrate the steps necessary to install Adobe Reader on a Windows XP-based computer.
This document was prepared using Windows XP with Service Pack 2 and Internet Explorer 6. Images used in this document may vary from those you see. Mozilla Firefox is not supported by the Online Trust System at this time.
Unless otherwise specified, the term Click shall refer to using the left mouse button and pressing it ("clicking it") once.
A minimum of Adobe Reader 6.0 is required to successfully use the Online Trust Services system. If you already have Adobe Reader 6.0 or newer, you do not need to install Adobe Reader. If you do not have Adobe Reader, please follow these instructions. You only need to install Adobe Reader one time.
To obtain Adobe Reader, connect to the Internet with Internet Explorer and browse this location (please note this is only for Windows-based machines):

This screen will pop-up - click the Run button:

Depending on the speed of your Internet connection, this download could take a few minutes (cable, DSL) to approximately 2 hours (dial-up).
Once the download has completed, this screen will appear - click Run:

After approximately two minutes, this screen will appear:

This screen will appear for several minutes while Adobe Reader is installed:

When Adobe Reader has finished installing, you will receive this screen:

At this point, Adobe Reader is installed on your computer.
The first time you attempt to open an Adobe Reader document (also known as a "PDF"), you may be presented with the screen below. Click Accept to accept the license agreement. Your report will be presented almost immediately:
